A crashed car, body bags and crime tape encompassed a grassy area by Belk Tower this past week. Posters with “Booze it and lose it” are staked alongside, while students slowed their walk to get a better view.

Woman uses roofie in defense of DWI charges
A woman arrested over a year ago by Campus Police now claims that her drink was spiked, leaving her unaware of her surroundings and situation. Campus Police found her lying in her car wearing only her underwear with a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit.

Atkins Library seeks to hire new digital media position
UNC Charlotte’s Atkins Library has created an entirely new position, the Director of Digital Initiatives, and is currently looking to hire. The position will be overseeing almost entirely all library-oriented digital content and systems.
