SGA Executive Board Facing Probation Legislation

| January 23, 2014 | 1 Comment

As Brady Nails enters his second semester in office as Student Body President, the Student Government Association has not been impressed with his performance. On Thursday Jan. 23, the senate passed a piece of legislation concerning Nails’ lack of interest in the presidency. The vote to discuss the probationary period for Nails and the executive board was unanimous with the exception of one abstention.

The senate will have a hearing on Thursday about whether to approve probation. Nails has the right to veto the legislation, however, if vetoed, the senate can overturn.

If the probation is passed, Nails will have all of his presidential privileges revoked, including use of the presidential parking pass and the Student Government iPad. All sanctions will be put into place immediately by the Student Senate and will be lifted on March 27th, or earlier depending on Nails’ and his executive boards performance.
